Abstract
Hyperpolarizing potentials were recorded from second order monopolar neurons of the ganglion opticum I of Calliphora by means of glass microcapillaries. The eye was stimulated with a spotlike light source. Potentials were recorded in relation to the intensity of the light stimulus. The recording site was identified by marking the cell with a dye and by localizing the tip of the electrode.
