Abstract
Comments of Borgen and Donnay (1996), Gonzalez (1996), Gottfredson (1996), Harmon (1996), Hansen (1996), and Prediger (1996) are addressed as they relate to the common themes of the contributions of the spherical model, the utility of a spherical representation of interests, the presence of a perfect sphere, and method issues. We argue that the model has empirical support but perhaps is more valuable as a heuristic for subsequent conceptualization and research.
