Abstract

Abstract The literature of libraries in recent years has been alive with discussions of customer service strategies. Of equal importance, however, is the quality of a library's collection as well as the cleanliness and condition of its holdings. Maintaining quality, service, and cleanliness-abbreviated as “QSC” -is the basis for the success of such restaurants as McDonald's. By elaborating on the elements of quality, service, and cleanliness, this paper will demonstrate how library managers who can connect these concepts to library functions are uniquely positioned to deliver an outstanding library experience.
