Abstract
The present study investigated correlations between the GSR and behavioral changes during the acquisition and extinction of an instrumental response. The results indicate that the magnitude of GSR increases as the consolidation point of learning is reached and thereafter decreases to baseline reactivity. Magnitude of GSR on the first extinction trial was an increasing function of number of previously reinforced acquisition trials. Instrumental response decrement during extinction was paralleled by GSR decrement.
