Abstract
In this chapter, the authors construct Stated Choice (SC) experiments in which the alternatives present within the choice sets are respondent specific, and hence, reflect individual differences in the choice contexts that are likely to exist within real markets. The authors discuss the construction of respondent specific availability designs for orthogonal fractional factorial design and the authors go on to demonstrate through that of an empirical example, how SC experiments, generated using the principles discussed in the theoretical section of the chapter, may be employed in practice. The next section of the chapter discusses the construction of individual specific availability designs using orthogonal fractional factorial experimental designs. The third section provides an empirical example of the strategies outlined in the second section and the fourth section concludes with a discussion of the material covered in the chapter.
