Abstract

Synchronization of spatiotemporal chaos is investigated, based on the models of one-way coupled map lattice systems. It is found that under certain conditions spatiotemporal hyperchaos with a huge number of positive Lyapunov exponents can be synchronized by simply driving a single site, and the mechanism for this efficiency is analyzed. This approach of spatiotemporal chaos synchronization is applied for multichannel secure communication and secure information storage.
