Some thoughts on choosing the correct space group

Abstract

Some problems that may lead to incorrect assignments of
\nspace group are identified and discussed, and some
\nsuggestions for avoiding these problems are made. Along
\nthe way, about four dozen structures listed in the
\nCambridge Structural Database are identified as having,
\nalmost surely, been described in space groups of
\nunnecessarily low symmetry.
