Abstract
More and more the product becomes the key to competitiveness in the manufacturing industry. Designing and developing products is a complex process that requires a systematic approach. This book addresses the methodological problems of that process. The authors deal with the foundations of thinking and practice in product design and product development and give critical overview of the current models, methods and techniques. The overall structure of the product development process exemplified by four case histories.
