Abstract
Based on the introduction and analysis of the concept of international impact of tourism research,the paper puts forward the indicator system for measurement and selects 4 indicators,namely:number of papers published in mainstream international tourism academic journals,number of scholars as editors of international tourism academic journals,number of hosted international tourism symposia,number of scholars as experts in international tourism research institutions and number of scholars to check and approve manuscripts in international tourism academic journals.The authors then compare the present situation of international impact degree of tourism research between China(including Chinese mainland,Chinese Hongkong,Chinese Macau and Chinese Taiwan)and korea,analyse their gaps,differences and common grounds in terms of international impact.In the end,several suggestions for upgrading tourism research in Chinese mainland are offered.
