Abstract

During the 1980s, gradual, cumulative socio-economic developments and the signing of the Sino-British Declaration on the return of the territory to China in 1997 have effected qualitative changes in Hong Kong. This book reviews all aspects of its political, economic, and social development and discusses future policy directions.
