Abstract

The systematic use of terror by governments against their own citizens is treated in this volume as a phenomenon manifesting itself in both right and left wing regimes and in widely varying social contexts. This book aims for a cross-cultural, multidisciplinary understanding of repression that will lead to a more productive international human rights diagolue.
