Abstract
The problem of designing the lot tolerance percent defective single sampling inspection plans is considered when the parameters cannot be known precisely. The parameters are assumed fuzzy variables so that the problem becomes a possibilistic programming problem. A solution procedure is developed to find a compromise plan. A numerical example and a sensitivity analysis are included.
