Abstract

Abstract Measures of amplitude of auditory Event-Related Potentials—in particular the P300 wave— were compared with measures of extraversion and introversion to determine whether there is a correlation between electroneurophysiological findings and psychological traits. Our results showed that the P300 wave—measured by electrodes placed at the Fz, Cz, and Pz sites—had greater amplitude in introverts. We found no significant differences between introverts and extraverts with respect to latency of the P300 wave.
