Abstract

This study analyses the methodological ways and means used for the development of prognostic methods. Despite the continuously growing number of prognostic methods, they still do not find wide application in clinical practice. This points to an obvious necessity for revising the methodological foundations of prognosticating the immediate outcomes of the disease. The authors propose prognosticating conditions and complications which can be prevented, and evaluating the method applied by the end results of treating patients suffering from myocardial infarction and over the period of practical application of the prognosis.
