Abstract
Geographic prevalence. The incidence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) varies considerably with the geographic region perhaps due to differences in the major etiologic factors. Whereas the incidence of HCC is low among Causacians in the United Kingdom, United States, and Australia, it is much higher among the black population in Mozambique, sub-Saharan Africa, and in the Far East [1–3].
