Abstract

A field study was conducted to investigate changes in the importance of critical success factors across the stages in the project life cycle. A total of 418 project managers or project team members currently involved in a project were sampled. Results indicated that the relative importance of several of the critical factors change significantly based on the stage in which the project currently resides.
