Maritime terror in Europe and the Mediterranean

Abstract

The problem of maritime terrorism is examined from a regional perspective, that of Europe and the Mediterranean. The sources that give rise to the threat are discussed, as are the nature, techniques and targets of the terrorist activities. Suggestions for controlling the problem are offered, including both practical and legal considerations.
