Abstract

The study on Community Adversity and Resilience is primarily a research report and not a policy document. It measures the concentration of disadvantage according to postcode areas in New South Wales and Victoria and goes further in attempting to identify characteristics of local communities faced with severe social disadvantage that could be promoted to build greater social cohesion rather than social exclusion.
