Abstract

Quantitative inhibition studies with various ACTH peptides clearly demonstrated that the specificity of the rabbit anti- β 1–24 -corticotropin was complementary to the C-terminal part of the tetracosapeptide hormone, indicating that there may exist similar immunologically active portions on natural ACTH in addition to those described within the β 25–39 -sequence of ACTH.
