Abstract
In this paper, we introduce and study fuzzy sets in the context of granular correlation. This arises as a result of using fuzzy information granules and can be regarded as a generic vehicle for data mining. It is shown how an analysis of fuzzy granular correlation helps to reveal and quantify relationships between variables in any data mining task.

Fuzzy Sets and SystemsCorrelation of fuzzy sets
233 Citations1999Ding-An Chiang, Nancy Lin
A method to calculate the correlation coefficient for fuzzy data is proposed, but rather than defining the correlation on the intuitionistic fuzzy sets like most of the previous works, the method is adopted from mathematical statistics.
Fuzzy Sets and SystemsCorrelation of fuzzy numbers
126 Citations1993YU Chun-hai
The concepts of correlation and correlation coefficient of fuzzy numbers are introduced, which could be used to measure the interrelation of fuzzyNumbers.
