Abstract This study compares and contrasts Bell and Howell's PA Research II and H.W. Wilson's WilsonSelect on FirstSearch, primarily as full-text resources supporting undergraduate work. These databases are analyzed by highlighting their scope in terms of the number and types of journals covered within specific areas and broad disciplines. The effectiveness of the two search engines for end-user retrieval, delivery options, and collection development is also discussed.
