Abstract

Can art therapists identify self-images in drawings by troubled adolescents without meeting and talking with them? It is usually assumed that we are likely to project our own feelings into drawings by others unless meanings can be clarified through discussion. The assumption is examined in this study. Its purpose is to determine whether self-images can be identified when discussion is not possible.
