Abstract
Nonaka’s theory of organizational knowledge creation, centring on the SECI model, is probably the most widely cited theory in knowledge management. It is the contention of this paper that the empirical basis for the model is highly unsatisfactory, and thus that the model itself may be seriously flawed. 1.
