Abstract
Operational Research can be seen as an approach towards intervening in human organizations in a purposeful and rational manner in order to improve the workings of such organizations. Other disciplines would also lay claim to such a broad definition, e.g, organizational behaviour, marketing and strategic management, systems, organizational development, management consultancy.
