Abstract
THINK OF all the factors that conspire to make nurses give up nursing: workload, unsocial hours, low pay, feeling undervalued. Quite a list in fact. But what if, at the top of the list, you had to insert the words ‘racial harassment by colleagues and patients’? It might tip the balance between staying in a job you trained hard for and walking away, don’t you think?
