Abstract
This paper considers a novel distribute fault diagnosis mechanism for wireless sensor network (WSN). Do not need additional agents, the built-in and self-organization diagnosis mechanism can monitor each node and identify fault nodes in real-time. Faulty sensor nodes are identified based on comparisons between neighboring nodes, and the testing node dissemination the status (testing result) to other neighbors, so the whole node detection is implemented. As the diagnosis is operated periodic and triggered, it can reduce energy consumption and traffic. We also proposed a new method to improve fault diagnosis rate in different average node degree. Large number of experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of this method.
