Abstract

The author argues that past economic models explaining U.S. dominance in the trade in motion pictures and television programming are flawed and do not adequately take into account structural dimensions for the dominance. He presents an extension of the Wildman and Siwek model and argues that the European Community cannot be considered the equivalent of the U.S. in the models.
