Abstract

This study was designed to investigate the exit interview procedures adopted by the hotel industry in Hong Kong, and to assess the effectiveness of exit interviews as a management tool. Thirty-nine hotels in Hong Kong participated in the study. The results indicated that exit interviews have been widely conducted in these hotels but how effective these interviews were in helping them to control employee turnover remained an unanswered question.
