Abstract
The 17 m ∅ MAGIC telescope for ground-based gamma-ray (γ) astronomy is currently commissioned at the Roque de Los Muchachos, La Palma. The status, with emphasis on some specific technical solutions, and the plans for the near future will be reviewed.
