Abstract
Este artigo oferece uma contribuição à gestão do processo de desenvolvimento industrial no contexto de economias em desenvolvimento, particularmente no Brasil. Para isso, esclarece certas terminologias relativas a acumulação de capacidade tecnológica e inovação industrial e apresenta um modelo, acompanhado de breve aplicação prática, que pode ser usado para examinar _ e gerir _ o processo de desenvolvimento industrial.
