Abstract Abstract In this paper the authors discuss the quality culture of Japanese companies in the UK and their parent companies in Japan using a paired comparison method. They identify the similarities and differences among them and then investigate the reason for such differences. They have also considered the idea of total quality culture and its various dimensions.
