Abstract
This article describes innovative ways in which spatial information is conveyed by multimedia GIS to support public discourse in a city planning environment. We explore how GIS results can be manipulated to allow additional analysis by a broader group of people than those who undertook the initial work. The various settings are described in which planning-related information is accessed, as well as how the GIS augmentations might be applied. Finally, we identify issues that can lead to a more structured research program.
