Varieties of Labor Politics in the Developed Democracies

Abstract

Abstract Applies the varieties of capitalism framework to labour politics and industrial relations. It surveys recent developments in these areas across several of the advanced democracies, and documents a persistent and perhaps growing divide between the liberal and organized market economies with respect to the institutions of collective bargaining and industrial relations.
