Abstract
Cognition,as a general term, covers what has been discovered by the two generations of cognitive revolution and those cognitive clues leading to the mysteries of the cosmos. The cognition embodied in language consists in the opposition and reciprocity of inner structure and outer perception, that is,the discreteness, hierarchicality, and recursiveness of logic(the law of our thought) vs.the fuzziness, radiality, and gestaltquality of perception.Language,in terms of mythos,is the reification of the anthropic principle, and in terms of logos,is the reduction of all that exists.Cognition,in the sense of the first generation cognitive revolution,is deep,at the interface of apriority and aposteriority, and in terms of the second,is mainly restricted to perception, confined by aposteriority or experientialism. In a broad sense, human language with its logic is an unlimited recursive mechanism, the inlet to the mysteries of the cosmos. For all that, humans can only see things as they are as things as they seem to be,hence make themselves a poetic existence, within the tension between logos and mythos.
