Abstract

Computer clustering of 500 child guidance clinic cases on behavioral symptoms reveals five symptomatic groups, shy-seclusive children, over-anxious-neurotic children, hyperactive children, undomesticated children and socialized delinquents. Each symptomatic group is significantly related to a different and characteristic family background, which makes the particular behavioral reaction more understandable.
