This is a clinical case report on three cases of anorexia nervosa occurring in adolescent Southeast Asian refugees. Some related sociocultural aspects of this multidetermined disorder are discussed. Research into the prevalence of anorexia nervosa in this group and the relationship between the immigration experience and the development of anorexia nervosa is indicated.
