Abstract

Many criteria have been proposed to aid managers in the difficult and complex new product screening decision task. Corporate synergy, production synergy, marketing synergy, competitive advantage and expected performance are shown to be five critical causal determinants of managers' overall evaluation of a new product's likelihood of success.
