Abstract

In a seminal study of the Mozart effect, college students who listened to the first ten minutes of Mozart's Sonata for Two Pianos in D Major (K. 448) experienced a shortterm enhancement of spatial-temporal (ST) reasoning (Rauscher et al., 1993, 1995). Findings from this study were reported widely in the popular media.
