Abstract
In today's ever changing healthcare environment, the nursing profession emphasizes that nurses should become actively involved in conducting research or participating in clinical studies to improve patient outcomes. Nurses need a basic understanding of research principles and qualitative and quantitative methodologies to achieve this goal. However, nurses often view research as a challenge; they may be intimidated due to a perceived lack of knowledge and skills and exhibit a reluctance to engage in research activities. To assist nurses in overcoming these obstacles, we have developed an experiential approach that makes understanding and applying research methods more enjoyable.
