Abstract
Colony-stimulating factors and interleukins occupy an increasingly important place in modern medicine. Several trials are currently under way to study the role of colony-stimulating factors in speeding bone marrow recovery after chemotherapy for solid tumors, in alleviating cytopenias in patients with myelodysplasia, and in improving the immune status of immunodeficient patients.
