Abstract

For a firm to be competitive and ethical, it needs to be able to expand and contract the size of its staff while protecting the job security of employees. Employee leasing offers hospitality firms a strategy for dealing with turnover, absenteeism, training, unemployment costs, record keeping, citizenship verification, and layoffs. Such leasing generally secures for employees improved benefits and career-path opportunities. Though there are still some unresolved concerns, the leasing industry has improved its services and with careful selection hospitality firms can identify competent and viable leasing firms.
