Abstract

The results of interviews with 93 traditional healers in three states of India are presented in this paper. These traditional healers are found to be increasingly using modern/allopathic medicines in their practice. The association of use of modern medicines has also been studied vis-à-vis their background characteristics such as age, educational level, patient load, average charges and income.
