Abstract

Abstract The neo-classical vision of the labour market depicts individual outcomes primarily as the result of individuals receiving returns to their innate ability or to their investment in human capital by way of education and training. Within such theories, the employer is little more than a black box and employer policies merely reflect the impersonal laws of the market.
