Abstract
For this year’s convention, we chose “The Social Responsibility of Psychologist” as theme. Part of the responsibility as Filipino social scientists is to help contribute towards the understanding of the psychology of the Filipino in particular and Philippine society and culture in general. For this reason, the present paper consists of two parts. The first part focuses on the psychology of the Filipino while the second part discusses Filipino psychology as a discipline in the context of universal psychology and the Third World.
