At‐risk programs: Evaluation and critical inquiry

Abstract Because at‐risk status is socially constructed, school‐level programs designed for at‐risk students and their evaluations should explicitly address the theoretical underpinnings of at‐riskness as enacted within the particular school culture. One way of doing this is through critical inquiry.
