Abstract

The interest in fathering and parent education services for fathers leads to some important questions for professionals who work with parents of young children. This paper explores contemporary patterns of paternal involvement and reports on a study of fathers' perceptions of educations for parenting. Differences between males and females are presented as important considerations for designing parent education programs. Practical suggestions are offered for attracating and serving a broad range of men with parent support and education services.
