Abstract
This reader was written to fill ‘the gap between reading the textbook and reading the research'. It is well produced and forms part of the Open University course Critical Practice in Health and Social Care (K302). The volume is divided into four parts: experimental approaches, survey research, qualitative research, and research appraisal questions. Nine pieces of published research (of ‘moderate’ difficulty) are presented with guidance on interpretation.
