Psychopathy: Heredity and Environment

Nothing indicates that the disease or condition the authors today call "psychopathy" has not been prevalent as far back in the history of mankind as have psychosis, mental retardation, and neurosis.

Nevertheless, because there is a great deal of current interest in questions about etiology in relation to psychopathy and because the research uses a unique sample in which genetic and environmental variables can be separated more satisfactorily than has previously been possible, it was considered important to publish this provisional report.
