Disclaimer
Last updated: 27th Oct 2026 · Effective: 27th Oct 2026
This Disclaimer applies to all content on paperguide.ai and its subdomains (together, the “Site”). That includes research paper and journal pages, the Journal Finder and other free tools, Research Reviews, blog articles, comparisons, rankings and case studies. The Site is operated by Keevs Health Inc (“Paperguide”, “we”, “us”). This Disclaimer forms part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If this Disclaimer conflicts with the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service prevail.
1. General information only
Content on the Site is provided for general informational, educational and research purposes only. We aim to keep it accurate and useful, but we make no representation or warranty, express or implied, that any content is accurate, complete, current or suitable for any particular purpose. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for any decision. You use it at your own risk.
2. Not professional advice
Nothing on the Site is academic, legal, medical, financial, regulatory or purchasing advice. Before acting on any information, consult a qualified professional, your institution or the relevant official source.
Some features are used in clinical, regulatory, health-economic and other professional settings. Paperguide supports, but does not replace, the judgment of qualified professionals. You are responsible for reviewing all outputs before using them in any submission or decision. Using Paperguide does not guarantee acceptance by any regulator, Notified Body, journal, client or institution.
3. AI-generated and automated content
Parts of the Site are created or assisted by artificial intelligence and automated processes. These include summaries, subject tags, journal recommendations, Research Reviews and some article content. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or misattributed, and this includes citations. Treat it as a research aid and verify it against the original sources before you use or rely on it. Where a person has reviewed content, that review is limited in scope and does not guarantee accuracy.
If you use Paperguide’s writing, summarising or generation tools for coursework, theses, publications or other work, you are responsible for following the academic integrity, authorship and AI-use policies of your institution, publisher or employer. We do not guarantee that any output is original, free of plagiarism or suitable for submission.
4. Research papers, journals and bibliographic data
Paper and journal pages show bibliographic metadata, metrics and related information from third-party sources, processed using automated methods:
- Paper details, such as titles, authors, abstracts and publication information, come from OpenAlex and Semantic Scholar.
- SJR scores and quartiles are derived from the SCImago Journal & Country Rank, which is based on Scopus® data.
- SNIP scores are derived from the CWTS Journal Indicators published by the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS), Leiden University.
- Other journal metrics, such as the h-index and citation counts, are calculated by Paperguide from journal citation history data.
We update this data periodically. Between updates, and because of differences in method, timing and source coverage, the information shown may be out of date and may differ from figures published by the original provider or the journal. In addition:
- Listing a paper or journal does not mean Paperguide has evaluated, verified or endorsed it. It does not indicate a journal’s quality, legitimacy, peer-review practices, indexing status, fees or editorial policies.
- Paper listings, including Top Research Papers pages, are generated automatically from these sources. They may include preprints, repository uploads and other records that are not peer-reviewed, and their order is not a ranking of quality.
- SCImago, CWTS, OpenAlex, Semantic Scholar and Scopus are not affiliated with Paperguide and do not endorse the Site or how we present their data.
- Papers, abstracts and other works remain the property of their authors and publishers. Paperguide does not license any third-party content to you (see Section 2B of our Terms of Service).
Confirm details with the journal, publisher or another authoritative source before relying on them, especially before submitting a manuscript.
5. Journal Finder and other recommendation tools
The Journal Finder and similar tools generate suggestions automatically from the information you enter. Suggestions are not endorsements and do not guarantee acceptance, publication or any editorial outcome. They also do not confirm that a journal is legitimate, peer-reviewed or indexed. Check each journal’s scope, policies, fees and credibility before you submit.
6. Research Reviews
Research Reviews are drafted using Paperguide’s AI Literature Review Agent and reviewed by a named person. Each one summarises a selection of published studies and is not exhaustive. They are generally based on abstracts and extracted data, not a full-text appraisal, and they are not peer-reviewed publications. Refer to the original studies before relying on any finding.
7. Health and medical content
Some content discusses medical, clinical or health research. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for advice, diagnosis or treatment from a qualified healthcare professional. It may not reflect the latest evidence or official clinical guidance. Do not use it to make decisions about diagnosis, treatment, medication or vaccination. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
8. Blog articles, tool recommendations, rankings and comparisons
The blog includes guides, best-tools and top-tools lists, alternatives articles, head-to-head comparisons, and analysis of products offered by Paperguide and by other companies.
- Our interest. Paperguide publishes these articles and offers research software that competes with many of the products discussed. Paperguide’s own products may be included and ranked in them.
- Opinion. Rankings, verdicts, “best for” labels and recommendations are Paperguide’s opinions. They are based on our own research and testing at the time of writing, and others may reasonably reach different conclusions.
- Information as of the time of writing. Features, pricing, plan limits, database sizes, ratings and other details change frequently, for Paperguide and for other products. Each article reflects what was available when it was researched, and products may have changed by the time you read it. Figures may also differ between articles researched at different times.
- Check the date. Please check the date shown on each article. That date shows when the article was published or last edited, and does not necessarily mean every detail was re-verified on that date.
- No paid placement. Paperguide does not accept payment from other companies for inclusion or ranking in its articles.
Confirm current details with each provider before making a purchasing or research decision.
9. Information about other companies and their products
We describe other companies’ products, including their features, limitations, pricing, screenshots, user reviews and third-party evaluations. These descriptions summarise our understanding at the time of writing, drawn from public information and our own use. They are not statements of fact by Paperguide and are not intended to disparage any company. Screenshots may not show the current version of a product. If you represent a company mentioned and believe information about it is inaccurate, contact us (Section 14) and we will review it.
10. Trademarks and no affiliation
All third-party company names, product names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners. We use them only to identify, describe and compare products, publications and organisations. Their use does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by or endorsement by those owners. Paperguide is not affiliated with any company, journal, publisher or institution mentioned on the Site unless we expressly say so. The Paperguide name and logo belong to Keevs Health Inc.
11. Case studies and testimonials
Case studies and testimonials describe the experiences of individual users. Results depend on many factors, including the project, team, workflow and plan, and are not typical or guaranteed. Where a user received anything of value in connection with a case study or testimonial, we disclose it on that page.
12. Third-party links and services
The Site links to third-party websites, databases, tools and resources that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Your use of them is governed by their own terms (see Sections 6 and 7 of our Terms of Service).
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paperguide and its directors, employees, contractors and partners are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, content on the Site. Our full disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability are set out in Section 12 of our Terms of Service, which applies to the Site.
14. Corrections, removal requests and copyright
We welcome corrections. If you are an author, journal, publisher, company or reader and believe any content is inaccurate, outdated or should be removed, email [email protected] with the page URL and details. We review every request and update or remove content where appropriate. Send copyright infringement notices to our designated agent, as described in Section 2C of our Terms of Service.
15. Changes to this Disclaimer
We may update this Disclaimer from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the “Last updated” date above shows the current version.
